Various institutions in Japan work to promote low carbon technologies. The following list includes institutions actively working in India:


JOINT CREDITING MECHANISM (JCM)

The Ministry of the Environment, Japan (MOEJ) supports the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) as a means to facilitate the diffusion of leading low-carbon technologies, systems, and so forth in developing countries. The Global Environment Centre Foundation (GEC) is the Secretariat of JCM.

SATREPS (JST, JICA)

SATREPS (Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development) is a joint program of Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for research projects on global issues, involving international partnerships between researchers in Japan and developing countries.
